RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Sadly, Russia will invade Ukraine this week.mnztr who is the "they" you are referring to? After reading Moemoney42 followed by you I am confused as to who is being referred to.

mnztr wrote: That is bs. What unsc approval did they have to attack libya. They certainly attacked afghanistan. And what about yugoslavia? They did not attack any nato countries
Moemoney42 wrote: Again I say NATO has never started a war ever, and never will.. but they will surely fight one, if provoked.. a buffer zone against someone with no intentions of invading Russia doesn't seem like a "legitimate concern". What about Cuba.. remember the Cuban missle crisis.. the US didn't take over Cuba for a bigger "buffer" although they tried to remove a dictator in the Bay of Pigs invasion, to fight communism, but that was a miscalculation.. Cuba is still there, its still communist, and still run by a dictator.. as long as there's no threat by them, then obviously the two styles of gov't can function near each other.. although the Cuban people have been the losers in the truce by still being governed by commies.. :-/
DukesMtl wrote: Exactly! It's in Russias interest and the worlds interest that Ukraine remain a buffer zone between NATO & Russia. Russia is simply asking a guarantee from NATO for this to continue as is!

Should Biden/Nato refuse this request, don't cry when Russia invades Kiev and every death, refugee and suffering will be because of NATO's refusal to provide assurity to Russia who had legitimate concerns of national security due to NATO's encroachment on it's borders.

Imagine if Mexico would possibly join China one day? How would the U.S react? China placing it's missiles & military bases right across from El Paso, and Arizona.
