RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Baytex..crushin clearwater as well for JanuaryAnd in your 2.5M vs 1.5m cost...is BTE assuming the bluesky wells need equipment and leases built.....
Prob a few 100k savings on clearwater just using same pad lease as old bluesky wells.
1m savings is likely a few factors.
kavern23 wrote: Well part a small part of the savings is what BTE is calling clearwater is 480-500 metres down and bluesky is like 650-700 metress down then go horizontal.....
I suspect the majority of the savings....is Baytex uses one of the water well rig companies/shallow core rigs to first drill the 450-500 metres down....
Then they move a double tele rig rated for 45000 metres to do the lateral portion of 2500-2700 metres which is what they look to be doing.
Day rates are going to be so much cheaper on the vertical portion using a water well rig...that savings plus alittle shallower is how you save 1 million bucks.
BTE is using two different drillers on each well.
But man that is shallow vertical depth.
OBE is doing 1800-1900 metres down in Cardium wells and then 2500 metres lateral....
