It's clear that you weren't around in the 1980's when threats of nuclear war were almost a weekly occurrence, yet the stock market still managed to climb throughout that decade. It's a sign that "maximum pessimism" is getting nearer when we start to hear nattering nabobs of negativity spouting a neverending series of doomsday scenarios.
