RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:big $$ in vaccines Laughable. Or paranoia. Amateur at best, as a comment.
Did big Pharmas kill immunotherapy when it came out of nowhere? No
Did big Pharmas kill mRNA when it came out of nowhere? No.
Pfizer signed a deal in 2018 with BioNTech for its mRNA platform for the influenza indication, way before COVID-19. They are now with their 3rd collaboration now, trying to improve shingle vaccines this time.
There is competition between big Pharmas and what's at stake are lucrative market shares worth billions of $$$. So each of them will try to shift their competitors to move up the scale for a bigger market share. And leader will keep looking for the best science to maintain their leading positions. So the one that moves the faster has the first mover advantage. So there's no conspiracy. Just fierce competition. The proof is if the holy grail mdecine would exist, one of them would jump on it to rip the most of the market shares of others.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:big $$ in vaccines
My jaded opinion/concern is that if we have a cure for anything, Big Pharma will go out of their way to kill it and anyone associated with it. Cures are bad for business. I fear we are not big enough to defend ourselves.
