Globe & Mail 07:36 AM EST, 03/02/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Enthusiast Gaming Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ and TSX: EGLX), a gaming entertainment company, said Wednesday it has signed a multi-year partnership with digital asset miner Hut 8 Mining Corp. (NASDAQ and TSX: HUT).
The two companies will collaborate on new experiences and content within mobile and blockchain gaming, Web 3.0, NFTs, and cryptocurrency, Enthusiast Gaming said. It didn't disclose any financial details of the partnership.
To begin with, Enthusiast Gaming will release a "significant update" to its first-person shooter game EV.IO, featuring Hut 8 as a presenting sponsor. Hut 8 will also become a sponsor of Luminosity Gaming, the top esports organization on Twitch with a social following of more than 145 million globally.
Under the partnership, Hut 8's content will be integrated across Enthusiast Gaming's communities, games, and experiences. Hut 8 will also provide critical infrastructure support by hosting Enthusiast Gaming in its data centres.
