Stelmine Canada Ltd. is a junior mining exploration company pioneering a new gold district (Caniapiscau) east of James Bay in the under-explored eastern regions of the Opinaca metasedimentary basin and the Ashuanipi Complex. It has 100% ownership of approximately 1,815 claims or 933 square kilometers (km2) in this part of northern Quebec, highlighted by the Courcy and Mercator Projects. Its properties include Courcy, Mercator, Joubert, Trieste, Ilnu, Minuapan, Mishtik, Nikan, Atanau, Massek, and Anite. The Courcy property is composed of over 165 claims resulting in a surface area of 86 km2. The Mercator property consists of a group of over 1,075 claims and covering an area of 551 km2. The Minuapan property consists of over 133 claims and covers an area of 69 km2. The Joubert property consists of over 103 claims and covering an area 53 km2. The Trieste property consists of over 14 claims having an area of seven km2. The Ilnu property consists of over 82 claims having an area of 42 km2.
