RE:WaitingstillWell, it was an incredibly poorly written NR today that put doubt into people's minds about the results of the well and we paid the price for their lack of ability and acumen in writing a simple NR. I don't want to say too much here because I don't really know what to believe anymore. Based on what they have written in NRs before, it seems premature to believe that this well is a duster. We know they have seen "liquid hydrocarbons". Is that not oil or condensate? We know that they are STILL saying (even in this NR and FEC CC) that they have 200 feet of pay. If it is a duster, why are they STILL calling it pay?! They spent $141mil on it and kept going. FEC has already allotted a big portion of their 2022 budget for Wei. OIL_RUN's post outlined that well.
I guess the bottom line is that the ACTIONS of the companies involved are not consistent with the NR tone and some wording. I did not sell today and am holding. I think shareholders should aggressive Email the company to put out a more definitive NR to either declare this was not commercial if they know it OR to explicitly state that there is still potential for this to be declared a commercial discovery once all the wireline data and fluid analysis is in. Silence in either direction is not acceptable.
