Shorting a stock that has active buybacks?
Seems like a risky behaviour. If they can buy 25% of the average volume that is around 2.5 million shares per day. 12.5 million per week. If they were to take 2 billion in profits and buyback 50 million shares in one quarter would that not kobash the shorters plan? Or do they want the shorters to succeed and buyback after a small correction. Either way they are making hand over fist profits and debt is plummeting. 1.94 a liter s Petro Canada where i live and its just getting going
