Staff have been told that the Georgia Straight is receiving more wage subsidy because their financials are in worse shape — and so have been making payroll. Their payroll is seperate.
Unless some form of payment is received by the end of today I don't expect there will be enough staff left on monday morning to put next week's issue out. Expect future issues to be cancelled under the guise of "going monthly". Their web developer bailed because of non-payment already.
