LANDEYWCK will save PODA from self-inflicted errorsIt is obvious by now to all shareholders that Poda made a big mess in its rollout strategy. Ryan appears to be very bright as an R&D person but he lacks the skills to be a great CEO.
Ryan was able to develop a very special product, the heat and not burn pods and device, something revolutionary for the market place, something that he was told could not be done.
That is the spectacular side.
Now on the side that needs the expertise of a Landeywck to help them out.
It appears that Poda did not put much effort or research into developping their nictoine product coming from tea leaves.
The first order of 500,000 pods went to Landeywck through Eson and, the management of Landeywck must have decided after this intial order that the blend was not good and therefore not sellable. Landewyck was not going to put huge resources to push a product where the blend is deficient.
Therefore an alternative strategy was developped, one where Landeywck takes care of the tobacco blend and manufacturing as they have been doing this for 170 years. Landeywck must love the Poda device and pod technology but must have hated the nicotine blend.
This then put a halt to Eson orders for others as nicotine blend needed to be redone.
Landewyck knows and it is written on their website that the Tobacco Blend is EVERYTHING, something which Poda did not see.
Landewyck could have walked away and so could have Eson, however it appears that Ryan is a likeable person and has good relationships with people so Landewyck decided it would be worth their investment to make a perfect Tobacco blend that will be loved by their clients.
Once the blend is done then Poda will enter with their expertise in delivering the blend through the device.
It is a learning curve for Ryan and I think he was humble enough to get out of the way and admit his mistakes, he hired Christoph Tepr to run the company in Europe and, agreed to have Landewyck do the tobacco blend and manufacturing.
This takes some time to do but once it is done we know we will be in business officially and will have Landewyck to cover our back going forward.
My personal opinion,
