VERY interesting move by Hive....As per the lastest news release, they've broken ground on two fronts. First, they've forsaken the Chinese miner suppliers, like Bitmain & Canaan for American custom built ones. Something i did not expect them to do. Was this a consquence of unavailabilty of equipment & large delays or was it becasue of possible repercautions with this Russian crisis. Interesting either way, i'm trying to figure out Mr. Holmes thinking here. Is this a logistics issue or mitigating some potential political risk?
Secondly, they've decided to take the plunge into the American market, solidifying an agreement with Compute North for hosting possibilites in Texas. Not sure on this move though, as the US is having issues generating enough electricity for the grid to power bacis necessities in some states. Texas being one of the most vunerable. So not really sure on Mr. Holmes going all in into a place like Texas. Just recently, all the miners had to shutdown there for a some time to redirect most of the electricity to more priority important areas. So maybe i'm missing something Frank sees. Who knows.
All in all, not a bad update but neither the fireworks one as well. Kinds of a double edged sword for me. With many risks. Maybe some of folks have something else to add. As a disclaimer, i don't hold Hive stock currently, have in the past many times, but do hold other miners.
