there is still a glut of oil out there, prices have shot up due to the fear of supply disruption, no disruption yet

OPEC still holding back on supply increases, Venezuala and Iran basically offline to the west, Libya and others like Nigeria could do more

Europe wont sanction Russian O&G and put themselves into recession

US can stop getting Russian oil, only 3-4% of what they get anyway

If oil goes to $150 in a rapid rate hike environment everyone except China will be in recession, decreasing demand

China likely has deals with Russia, Iran, Venezuala for sub $100 oil anyway
