DRONES IN MARINE BIOLOGYDue to the advancement of technology, drones are smaller, faster, stronger, and more maneuverable than the original drones of the last century. This makes them more usable in multiple fields. Marine biologists have a way of using drones to look after the health of marine life. In the case of whales, Petri dish-carrying drones are deployed to collect phlegm coming out of whales' blowholes. The phlegm collected helps biologists conduct DNA research on those whales. As that case shows, custom-made drones are doing things we can't imagine. With continued research and advancement of drone technology, DPRO will continue doing great things for marine life.
