Patience....
Patience....we are not going to see any on-site activity for a while. can anyone find out IF a rig is required to re-complete #1 and get the well on production? There are a few alternatives available whereby a rig may not be needed, but without knowing exactly how the well will be re-completed, it is only speculation as to what is/may be required.
if they need a rig, will someone confirm that the drilling rig is to be used to recomplete #1 before drilling the second hole?
The interview with CQV indicated still on target for 1st oil in July - is this from the #1 recompletion or anticipated oil from the second hole?
The way I see the timing is as follows: 2 weeks for rig contracts to be singed and sealed. min 4 weeks, most likely 6 weeks for rig delivery & set up on location. 1 week to re-complete Port au Port #1 - meaning flow testing of # 1 to begin about mid-may. drilling to commence on the new well at this time. 40-60 days drilling puts the new well ready for completion early to mid July. Flow test on the new well by the end of July.
Just my own opinions here regarding timing - too many things can still cause delays, schedule changes, etc. My point here is not to get down because things don't seem to be moving fast - theres a saying in the oilpatch that everything is "hurray up and wait". Also, if someone wants something for tommorrow, they actually mean they need it in a week, and if they want it today, they really needed it yesterday.
