RE:Chile a step closer to nationalizing copper and lithium

RE:Chile a step closer to nationalizing copper and lithium
If this happens, it won't be because it gives Chile the most prudent financial return on investment. It will happen because it thwarts capitalists from reaping the biggest bounty on finite resources. Some people understand the big picture financially, but they still want nationalized minerals because it means the only beneficiary is in country. For that reason, arguing economics does not win. These are not once in a lifetime assets, they are once in the entire history of the Earth assets. For some, that means selling less is okay & so are lower government revenues. They see capitalism as plundering a once in forever opportunity.
