As alluded to by MG, it now appears that roughly 50% of Americans (and Brits for that matter) are so polarized that they, effectively lost that ability to filter information and therefore choose to only believe the vision they've chosen to support. Reason why increased numbers of 'Americans' are now siding with their historical foes and turning on their own government. That's what disinformation leads to, as also seen in Canada with the truckers stint. Next thing you'll end up seeing are citizens taking up arms against their own government because they believe what a hostile nation is selling them. This amongst other things is what DM is trying to avoid.
