Both companies are attempting to take low grade nickel and mining it. Wether FPX is better or not is yet to be determined and is much farther away from being a mine than CNC is. 

There must be a good reason why FPX market cap is half of CNC.

First, FPX's recovery is ~90%.

Second, they are able ao achieve this with no sulfur in their ore body because the simple crush, grind, magnetic separation, and flotation process flowsheet unique to awaruite is entire mechanical, unlike that for sulphide deposits which involves smelting.

Trying to compare apples with oranges speaks to a pretty significant gap in your technical understanding of how these projects work.
