Due diligenceI was wondering if any of you tried to find out any more information about PLRB's products.
On first glance, it appears that many of the businesses PLRB acquired are running on other companies' software - Salesforce, Shopify, etc. Are PLRB's businesses actually software companies or are they just service providers masquerading as software businesses?
Several of their businesses appear [from the limited description] to be creating content for learning programs, hosting such content, or working as a classified websites for job postings... I would not call this to be software business. How many of their employees actually write proprietary code? Do they sell software subscriptions or subscription to hosting or other marketing services?
For example, if I was a catering business which had some website and some software-enabled processes [like inventory tracking for e.g.] where some conference centres and maybe even some companies regularly ordered food for weekly events or employee cafeteria, I would not call myself a software company... but a catering company. Almost all businesses these days have to use software in one form or the other in their activities... but that does not make them software companies. Is something similar happening at PLRB businesses?
I would be grateful for any info or write-ups you might be willing to share with the community! Thank you and best of luck.
