  • I was aware of China importing and exporting tungsten but never really looked into it. I will admit it did puzzle me, but I forgot to look into it further....
  • China exports the raw ore and imports the concentrate, so yes it appears China has a processing problem or do they....
  • We know that it takes enormous amount of energy to convert tungsten to APT. Perhaps China doesn't have the infrastructure for that.
  • As for tungsten concentrate, there is the gravity fed equipment and from listening to LB, it appears that gravity fed takes a very long time to tune i.e. years. Then there is flotation, but that would require an enormous amount of chemicals. China has been trying to clean up their environment which could be an explanation over the past several years. An explanation before the environmental cleanup may be Chine just wanted the quick revenue.

This is the most comprehensive PDF you will ever read on mineral processing which I have just read.
This is my life in 125 pages.
A few parts are new to me, but the rest is a great memory of past projects.
Feel free to ask for further clarification at any time.
