Joe Deaux (Bloomberg News) “Tisingshan is refusing to get out of its short position. They are betting that the short position they put on is the position they want to be in and that that position was put on back in the Fall when they were effectively making a bet that the rally of nickel up to that point would probably cool off at some point in 2022 (to some degree just a typical hedging that a producer will want to put on its positions although the position was massive and I think people are still trying to figure out more on that too).”

The  company will continue its talks with banks over a secured credit facility. Nobody knows for sure what will happen Wednesday.
