ballard beat on revenue
ballard didn't meet ebitda expectations due to a few factors incl. increased costs , supply chain etc.
ballard has some great products and technology along with companies like wesport and many others however, most of these companies, which have been around for a long time, simply are not able to turn consistant profits and just chew thru cash like there's no tomorrow, will xbc join this group of what seems to be perma losers of investors cash? maybe maybe not but it will be a long road ahead for xebec to reach (if it ever does reach) sustained profitability due to increasing competition and rising costs and simply being too small to succeed, imho the only way for them to succeed is to either partner with someone with deep pockets or simply get bought out, otherwise it's going to continue to be a long struggle for xbc and it's shareholders, all jmho.
ballard has been dropping every day since it's earnings release. look for the same to happen with xbc. revenue might beat but I sure haven't seen a lot in the way of new meaningful contracts etc. xbc's cash available will most likely have dropped a fair bit. there is no way in h ells half acre that xbc can avoid at least some supply chain issues and rising labor and transport costs. they will most likely need a financing of some kind very soon.
I just can't believe that some of you are simply looking at the probable increase in revenues and think that alone will turn xbc around, even if everything looks ok it could still drop as have many many companies recently which came out with decent quarterly results. I'm quite sure that there will be things in the earnings release that the market will not like. I'm also sure that at least some of the selling are people who simply don't want to hold thru the q results release, I know most of you won't believe this because as far as they are concerned every sell "is either a short or some alog. program manipulating the stock"
cheers and gl, you're going to need it! ferrret
Thank you Gann, Zou and Ciao for your posts in response to Ferret and his friend Filoux.
They are so negative and they want so bad to be right that they use bad arguments by comparing Xebec and Ballard.
