  • You mentioned a lot of very good contributors which I enjoyed reading their comments over the years. This is one of the reasons I liked this board so much. It is very unusual to have several competent people on one board. And I attribute that to the fact these intelligent people know a good thing when they see it, and are drawn to Sangdong and now Almonty.

  • Your knowledge and experience is something that most boards would be wishing they had. Very glad you are with us.

  • Don't sell your self short.....most of us tend to do that. The comments you have made, you probably consider are trivial since this knowledge is second nature to you, but it is actually very valuable to some one like me.  This stuff I don't know, but helps me make better analysis of the information, and better prediction on patterns.
  • In high school I didn't do well in math and English, but I love this quote from Einstein.

If a person studies a subject for just 15 minutes a day in a year he will be an expert, and in five years he may be a national expert

  • So I ran my own race at my own pace. I didn't learn as fast as many others, but what I learned, I learned really well.
  • Now I am one of the elite. Has it changed me, No because the only thing I have really learned from all my studies is how much I don't know. One of my buddies and I have a saying....."We are just average. It is all the other dumbfks, that make us look like geniuses."

  • Automation is a double edge sword. It is very rewarding to find a solution to a challenging and complex problem. But the automation may put people out of work.  Well the way I look at it, if I don't do it, someone else will....but that still doesn't make me feel better.
  • I typed several essays here on my escapade with automation and deleted them all because I can't really talk about what I do....never know who is watching.

  • The strange thing is, when I am in my retirement, there will be next to no one to talk about my glory days because no one will understand except my few buddies. This is why I am now focusing on learning an instrument, starting with piano and then perhaps moving to guitar.  One day I like to jam with a band....... perhaps with the Almonty Investor Party Band. ;)
