Westinghouse used to be a power in the nuclear industry in this country (pun intended!) but they went to heck and a hand basket. That was bad enough but then Toshiba bought them up and made a go at it. It was a worse disaster. I refer to the new nuke plants that were to be built a few years ago in South Carolina. After billions and billions spent they landed up with nothing but piles of junk that would not fit together and no one knowing how to unravel the disaster. They finally pulled the plug and this whole mess is considered the death of the nuclear industry in this country. Plants are being shut down or phased out. The bottom line is that society today is not up to nuclear and will not be in the foreseeable future as it is understood today unless there is a major breakthrough as to simplicity and reliability.
