Great synopsis. Depressing, but accurate in my opinion. 
And yes I remember when Our prime minister proudly announced in parliament that Canada has sold the last of its gold reserves for $280 an ounce. And your rationale for doing this does make a lot of sense....... but why are the brick countries loading up on pm's? Particularly Russia and China .What if they could blockchain them to a new reserve currency ?
      When you take into consideration ways our financial mess could play out, as well as who is buying all our gold and what are they up to,I think companies like pure gold will give you a very leveraged position in a commodity that will get real popular real fast.
