While I like your balance, I would like to disagree with your point on natural disasters. There is not one credible study that shows a large increase in natural disasters on the planet over the last 50 years. We do have more media to report it, and more access to that media. 

There also other pieces to that puzzle. I live in Vancouver. In BC we have major wildlife issues, as most people probably know. Unfortunately, we have been going into remote areas, putting out fires for 60 years now. That stifles nature and now BC is a complete and utter tinder box. Nature needs to take its course and burn off bramble. This problem here and in places like California, will continue to get worse. 


I am neither a denier nor an alarmist. I wish more people used a more balanced approach.
