RE:RE:RE:Thoughts?…Zorg- you up to commenting? On the FED and inflation this is a strange heated market because consumers are feeling dismal - the sudden food, fuel and housing cost escalations have sobered a lot of people ... which would argue for the FED to go slow unless they see consumer confidence rising?
On Ukraine, I don't think there are balanced comparisons between domestic political squabbling in open democracies no matter how vehement opposing views may be (regardless of varied opinions about the events leading up to January 6) and the invasion of Ukraine. We can tune into Tucker Carlson or some Dem shills on MSNBC as we wish, on any topic, same in Canada although our political discourse is very low grade these days. Nobody is shooting at us in military formations, bombing us over the issues that divide our politics. Ukraine is a vicious military action, properly called a war, although I understand freedom of speech has slipped so far in Russia you can't use the word there.
It is a catastrophe just like all other wars - those poor people, and the kids conscripted from the four corners of Russia who don't want to be there. And I guess it resonates more because it is on the doorstep of what we took to be a peaceful European Union.
