RE:An article said that schumer says he is putting cannabis Do you have the article link saying the senate? I have read several articles saying he is introducing the bill in April, read anyone from Marijuana Moment, but I have no idea if it's going directly to the Senate. I know very little about US politics, but I thought the process was House, then Senate for voting, then Biden's desk to enact into law.
I guess as we know, not everything makes it into the Senate. Safe has passed 6x already the house and no senate leader has presented it to the Senate for a vote, knowing very well it has bipartisan support.
So even with the More Act possibly being voted on again next week, having passed the house already, I doubt it will make its way into the Senate.
I can only guess that since Schumer is majority leader, he can but the bill directly for a vote? I have no clue.
I mean literally everything is riding on this passing before the midterms. The Dems will loose the House and Senate this midterm, only saving grace might be Cannabis Legalization.
I'm remembering waiting up to see the results of the Georgia Senate Race, learned of Fulton County being the votes that pushed Ossof and Warnock to victory and thinking wow, finally weed will be legal in the states.
Such a shame to see this is where we are. All politicians are liars, regardless of their party.
And Schumer et al is no different. The ego of those three senators pushing the CAOA knowing fully well it's dead on arrival, and having so many other bills that could have been fine tuned to ensue it passes.
Safe Act
More Act
States Act
Hope Act- I think
All drafted by dems
i don't even want to think about if none of these pass. CGC has so much revenue that cannot be accounted for until legalization.
