RE:RE:The road to HeckYour point about higher education is well taken. I graduated as an engineer in the early 70's my  father in the early 50's After my graduation ,I still remember his words .You mean they didn't teach you that !! Are you sure you were enrolled in the right classes ?? Well from then on I dedicated myself to learning as much about real engineering as I could. It was however already too late so I concentrated my attention more towards the business side. I did learn a few things however. One of the more important ones was to think like a project engineer. Which in turn meant taking an overall view and ensuring that all the details were covered and implemented.
Canada needs more project engineers. Pie in the sky projects such as proposed by many are completely unrealistic and will never be done. If you want all EV's by 2034 then where are the nukes to feed them. You need to start planning those right now.
I could go on and on but it is very obvious that there is no plan , only slogans !!
