Sixth Wave Innovations Inc. is a Canada-based nanotechnology company with patented technologies. The Company is focused on the extraction and detection of target substances at the molecular level using specialized molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). The Company’s product brands include AMIPs, IXOS and Affinity. The IXOS is a line of extraction polymers formulated for deployment in the gold mining industry. The Affinity system is using its MIPs, which are designed to capture and extract cannabinoids from filtered crude extracts without the use of traditional winterization and distillation. The Company’s patent portfolio covers extensions of the designs for extraction and purification of other critical metals including nickel, cobalt, rare earth elements, and platinum group metals. It also designs, develops and commercializes MIP solutions across a spectrum of industries.

This company is a tough nut to crack.

This company is a tough nut to crack.I would very much like to know their case against other resins, rather than always carbon. It's rather like advertising your ferrari against a fiat instead of a lamborghini.

I keep looking through research on other resins and it seems like most have the same energy saving, cost saving features that Sixth Wave does. Most operate and are used under similar conditions.

When sixth wave says they have higher reusability, less chemical use, etc - I'm left to draw a blank.

However, the  one thing easy to find data on was that the uptake of copper on IXOS is not insignificantly lower than the resin offered by DOW. DOW's resin also produced more undesirable byproducts as a consequence of removing the gold from the resin. The company itself seems to know this and puts emphasis on it in their earlier documents.

Without any specific numbers to attach to the lower capex/opex they are claiming, which some of their competitors already offer, there are some gaps in knowledge.

I remember doing this same research some months  - actually, well over a year? - ago and running into this same roadblock. I can't say for sure if Sixth Wave actually saves their customer more than their competitors.

Off for the weekend...
