Trading Halt IIfrom seeking alpha
"Trading halts in individual securities commonly occur when a company is about to release significant news such as a merger or acquisition, regulatory developments affecting the company, or any unusually important negative or positive information that would affect the stock price. Trading is resumed after enough time has passed to disseminate the information so that all market participants have timely access to important company information.
Another type of trading halt occurs if a security no longer meets the exchange's listing requirements or if a company is behind on its required public filings. These trading halts are actually trading suspensions instituted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and can last from 10 days to indefinitely"
So let's hope it's a merger and not a fraud..
