Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Duvernay resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. The PRA is its original asset area. I totally agree with you that the market isn't giving us full value yet for carbon capture. Firstly, I think that many and even some on this board (there are posts below suggesting no tax advantage for Carbon Capture) don't appreciate the potential here. There was a letter signed by 400 or so "Intellectuals" urging the gov not to give tax breaks to the oil industry. This got a lot of play in the media. I had no idea the environment could tell the difference between CO2 sequestored by an oil company and CO2 sequestored by a non-oil company. Had no idea!

There was also a big spend announced by the Refinery in Regina where they were going to invest $500 million into a CO2 capture project with WCP. There is also a significant spend on WCP's part.
I am very confident that the WCP management team is going to make CO2 capture a big positive for shareholders.

Still time to pick up more undervalued shares.
