One more time.... Read this and offer your thoughts.
One more time.... Read this and offer your thoughts. The possible implifications are impossible to define: "Shenergy quite recently increased their equity interest in Xebec China from 30% to 40%.
Xebec has had a 60,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Shanghai for many years, but I believe most of the floorspace is leased out. I could be wrong.
Shenergy is a State-owned company, so effectively the government of China owns a 40% stake in Xebec China ( sometimes referred to as Xebec Shanghai )
This development was announced on November 12th, 2020.
Here's a portion of the news release announcing this, attributed to the Chinese General Manager at Shenergy:
The newly formed partnership will open large-scale opportunities to develop hydrogen infrastructure in China. Shenergy is one of several designated state-owned enterprises tasked with building out hydrogen infrastructure in Shanghai and across China. “Xebec has been a valuable partner since 2015 when we embarked with them to collaborate on hydrogen projects in China. The hydrogen fuel market is now starting to accelerate with China’s new government policies, and we wanted to strengthen our relationship with this strategic investment. Xebec’s PSA technology platform is known for its robust performance, compact footprint and low operating costs for hydrogen purification. We see Xebec’s solutions and expertise as a key component in our mandate for the rollout of hydrogen refueling stations and onsite hydrogen generation infrastructure. I look forward to our collaboration and it is our honor to be working with a worldwide renewable gas leader,” states Xue Feng Song, Deputy General Manager at Shenergy Group Company Limited.
The recently announced technology sharing agreement with Xebec and Air Liquide was obviously arranged with this in mind.
Air Liquide and Xebec are "partners" to a degree, and Air Liquide is the largest industrial gas company in the world.
Xebec's contacts in China are extensive, and very very deep.
I can't even begin to imagine how extensively Xebec's Chinese operations will evolve."
