Almost none of them make money over long periods and eventually dilute the shareholders out of the picture and reorganize . Any money they do make goes into finding another mine . An old expression said , " you need a copper mine to finance a gold mine " . Meaning gold mines eat up capital then collapse .
I think base metal mines are an investment . They are usually pretty long lived and tend to make good money over many years . We are very fortunate to have two that are already mines . Our hold up is paperweork and that will get fixed . Copper is just starting to replace oil wells . But we may have to ride out a reccession first .
You are right on with the name change . That is job one .
