The borderline between the definition of "investing" vs. "trading" isn´t a 100% accurate one. Thus discussing the topic makes it a bit complicated ;-)
My definition of investing is chosing a company that has a proven track record of a sustainable business model and already having made money for some time with an acccelerating growth rate ideally.
Chosing a company because of its chart may be called trading even with a multi year holding period if shareprice rises and rises.
What I intended to say was that investing in a pennystock is a very dangerous thing as 99% or more of them never make money, only offer rose-coloured promises from management and in the end end as a p&d.

But have a close eye - even the best investment at some point in time will have reached its peak ...
