RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Marathon Gold Didn't Learn From Kraken Robotics' MistakesI think it is short sighted to say that good traders aren't spending time on platforms like message boards. While I would agree that they probably provide the most value as a way to get a read on sentiment there is lots of good information to be found depending on what you are looking for. I personally find comments from folks "near" projects to be great sources of information. It helps me feel more confident that a project has the support to go through to production or alerts me to possible local opposition. Having an idea that local support for Valentine Lake was good helped give me the confidence to buy during the permitting delay dip. Without that background information I may have sat it out or reduced my position. For comparison I've gotten bit by local opposition to Regulus's project in Peru. It is located in a mining area and felt safe with it but without any real feel for the locals sentiment I didn't foresee the project essentially having to shut down for months and months to sort things out.
There is a lot of info out there in the world. It is crazy not to use the opportunity to crowdsource ideas and information to aid your investing. Without a doubt some of my best trades of the last couple years have come from ideas I saw on social media.
