Pacific International Grout Company placed 87,342 cubic yards of cellular concrete on the Marquette Interchange in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Marquette Interchange at the time was the largest construction project in state history. Constructed soon after the Big Digin Boston, the Marquette Interchange was projected to cost one (1) billion USD.
The contractor Marquette Constructors was issued the 2008 Award for Excellence in Large Structures by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. They had constructed the project 200 million dollars UNDER the estimate and months ahead of schedule.
Pacific International Grout Company was included in the Award of Excellence by contributing to the early completion.

OAKLAND 12TH STREET PROJECT AT LAKE MERRITT
The 12th Street Reconstruction project involved reconfiguring the existing 12-lane expressway across the 12th Street dam into a six-lane, tree-lined boulevard. The project limits extend from Oak Street to the intersection of E. 18th Street and Lakeshore Avenue.
Over 79,000 cubic yards of cellular concrete was placed on either side of the new bridge on the 12th Street project by Pacific International Grout Company for the general contractor McGuire & Hester. Scheduled completion was reduced by six (6) months.
The 12th Street reconstruction project involved reconfiguring the 12 lane expressway across the dam over compressible, unstable soils. 30 pcf cellular concrete was placed in cuts where heavy organic soil had been removed.
