Greenlane Renewables Inc T.GRN

Alternate Symbol(s):  GRNWF

Greenlane Renewables Inc. is a Canada-based company, which provides biogas upgrading systems. Its systems produce clean, renewable natural gas from organic-waste sources including landfills, wastewater treatment plants, dairy farms, and food waste, suitable for either injection into the natural gas grid or for direct use as commercial vehicle fuel. The biogas upgrading systems, marketed and sold by the Company under the Greenlane Renewables brand, remove impurities and separate carbon dioxide from bio methane in the raw biogas created from the anaerobic decomposition of organic waste at landfills, wastewater treatment plants, farms, food waste streams, and other feedstock sources. It is engaged in deploying the three main upgrading technologies: water wash, pressure swing adsorption, and membrane separation, plus proprietary biogas desulfurization technology. It has delivered over 145 biogas upgrading systems into 19 countries and over 160 biogas desulfurization units.

RE:Wasted Gasoline

RE:Wasted Gasoline

All Bull Sh!t for consumption of ignorants

DDT980 wrote: A study by the US National lab has indicated that cars in China consume 54% of their gasoline in traffic congestion. In the US it is only 25%. Together, China and the US consume 12.6 million BPD of gasoline and waste 4.2 million BPD just sitting idle in traffic. To make just the amount of gasoline that is wasted requires about 9 million BPD of oil (the rest goes to diesel, jet fuel, chemicals, other). This amount of oil is 3 TIMES THE TOTAL PRODUCTION OF THE OIL SANDS. China together with the US have only about 40% of the automobiles on the planet (ever been to Manilla or Lagos where it can take 2 hours to get across town?).
What is truly absurd is that Canadian taxpayers are required to spend $21.5 Billion (current estimate, up from original estimate of $ 7.4 Billion) for the TMX pipeline. It will carry 400,000 BPD of bitumen (590,000 BPD if diluent is included) at very highly subsidized toll rates to markets in California and Asia where it will be refined into about 185,000 BPD of gasoline. So all the oil transported in TMX will be only 4% of the oil that is wasted just sitting in traffic congestion in China and the US. Even more absurd is that internal combustion engines are only about 35% efficient. If you want to do the math for CO2 emissions use 2.3 kg CO2/litre and 159 litres/barrel.
This is the new Alberta/Canada socialist business model – taxpayers pay $31 Billion for the pipeline and then heavily subsidize the pipeline toll rates. Then tax credits are provided to oil producers to mitigate the capital costs of incredibly expensive carbon capture technology (just ask Sask power if they would ever invest in it again). It’s a perfect model for “savvy” oil & gas investors who have no concern about the war that is driving oil prices or who don’t believe there is climate crisis. In the mean-time investments in valid solutions to mitigate methane emissions (80 times more potent than CO2 over 20 years) are deferred.
