InterpretationThere were some shallow infill holes within the Keates Main zone mixed among a lot of shallow reconnaissance holes about the Keates Main zone. Their reconnaissance drilling is having a very high success rate. The likelihood of more big gold zones being discovered along this stretch of the Appleton fault is very high.
The diagrams are displaying the enormous complexity of the "damage zones" meaning where the sedimentary rocks were ripped up by the continental collision. Every red line is a gold bearing minor fault. The gold zones are shaded in grey and are variable mineralized. You can think of the Keates main zone as a plume of gold which came up within the much longer Keates zone. The strike length and plunge depth of the Keates main zone are still open in all directions.
The results only briefly mentioned the footwall breccia zone (2.45m of 119 g/t). I still think it has enormous potential to rival or exceed the Keates main zone.
Lots more results to come.
