How is the "special distribution" (.44 ) to be treated in

How is the "special distribution" (.44 ) to be treated in the future ? It is taxable this year in taxable accounts as a capital gain but my understanding is that it may increase your adjusted cost base ( .44 ) in the future upon a selling of the units . I feel the news release of the "special disribution" should have been more concise in terms of the tax implication .

I have called for clarification but no response back yet .

Thanks ,

tedz
