RE:Too funny ....It is Risky... Qualifying for a POC program is certainly an achievement for a company the size of YFI. The results were fairly good and showed improvement... But the problem/question is simple: will it get adopted? Is it needed ?
From what I see, if the tech will get adopted and selected as a "Standard" for Wifi... the road is long and I don't see it happening with Wifi 7.
Wifi 7 is focusing a lot on avoiding congestion/latency via the automatic switching between Channels and spectrum "puncturing"... So if a router/ap has the capacity to operate on 3 channels, the congestion will be solved by dedicating channels to specific devices requiring instant bandwith instead of taking a channel and diving its spectrum into multi channels...
Everywhere I read and research this is the approach being implemented ... In addition to all the side tech increasing speed and range and and and...
They qualified for the POC... but lots of tech companies give startups the opportunity to do so... it doesn't mean it will result in purchase order/agreement... I certianly hope it does but the more I read about what's coming in Wifi 7 the less I see a use case for the tech of YFI in the short/medium term...
In addition the amount of $ required to achieve production/scaling is insane in the tech industry... Dilution to raise funds in that case is certain... Which might not be a bad thing IF they get into a commercial agreement generating $$$....
I am losing money on this... Brought my average cost down but still losing money of course... Not willing to sell as for me this a pure gamble... On one side too late to sell, on the other ...maybe too early to sell...
Anyway good luck to all.
