RE:Range reduction That would be monumental.
I'd like to think if they can do the carbon encapsulation of the nano silicon(which IF memory serves me they indicated there was work being done to this effect by either themselves or third parties utilizing their particles?), that would be huge as well as I would THINK the expansion of the silicon up to 300% (in encapsulated) would be greatly reduced being encapsulated sitting in someone's driveway up in the Yukon Territory charging up.
All may be a mute point once they salve the expansion issue with encapsulating the silicon because it has been intimated that the more silicon in the anode, one is looking at 5-10-15 minute charging cycles if I am recalling correctly?
But to your point, yes the cold is not a battery's friend.
What a great marketing commercial you could do if you had the technology to counter that element though.
