HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:Range reduction

RE:Range reduction

That would be monumental.

I'd like to think if they can do the carbon encapsulation of the nano silicon(which IF memory serves me they indicated there was work being done to this effect by either themselves or third parties utilizing their particles?), that would be huge as well as I would THINK the expansion of the silicon up to 300% (in encapsulated) would be greatly reduced being encapsulated sitting in someone's driveway up in the Yukon Territory charging up.
All may be a mute point once they salve the expansion issue with encapsulating the silicon because it has been intimated that the more silicon in the anode, one is looking at 5-10-15 minute charging cycles if I am recalling correctly?

But to your point, yes the cold is not a battery's friend.

What a great marketing commercial you could do if you had the technology to counter that element though.

Listening to CBC this morning I heard about how there is a 40% range reduction in -40 temperatures.  That is huge.

Will HPQ's silicon be capable of improving battery life in  sub-zero temperatures?
