So the carbon tax is there to ensure the full cost of these emissions is more closely reflected in the fuel price. Same with raw sewage. If there was no sewage tax and system, how would you like it spewing into your street?

And who is this "he" you speak of buying those offsets? Like, his own personal dollars? Or more taxpayer dollars? That's another great look. It's OK to emit carbon as long as you spend extra taxpayer dollars to try and make up for it. Cause the budget will take care of itself. Or so I am told as I don't pay attention to fiscal policy.
