RE:Wind Energy in Trouble

RE:Wind Energy in TroubleYep

The eco zealots will at some need need to face reality.

1....saw a clip on the news today where there were 80KM winds and overcast = no wind turbines and no solar panels producing energy.  The high winds themselves knocked out the electricity grid for 30K households.  So how do they plug in their EVs and get to work?

2...as you point out - most of the solar panels and wind turbine parts come from China.  This places the West if it is reliant on renewable energy in a startgeuc mess not unlike where Germany is today vis a vis Russian gas and oil

3....most of the materials to produce the batteries and solar panels come from countries controlled by China - again- security issues emerge

4....EV batteries have useful life of at most 10 years with today's technology.  In 10 years this will place straines on landfills unless there is a new technology developed to recyle these batteries.

5....most of the solar capacity in North America is located where few people live and far from polulated centres.  This means that there will be a requirement for new electricity transmission lines.  If the Eco crowd doesn't like pipelines which are underground, how will they like transmission lines going through their backyards when there is also research to suggest dating back decades that there are health issues for people living close to high voltage transmission lines

The list goes on.
