RE:Piano And More,

RE:Piano And More,
  • Ah Rick Wakeman gave away a Golden Nugget.....you see he is an innovator just like what I am in my own field.  He researched enlessly until he found the book on Principals of Orchestration which he used to take music from relatively modern contempories, reshape it to the mental music models he has formulated, and come out with a product that has a foundation in the past (in my case, another field in computers), while its presentation resonates with the audience and appears new.

  • This was very informative. Thanks for Sharing 5ilver!!!  My plan on learning and playing piano was going to be similar to this. I have no plan or aspiration to be a Rick Wakeman. But I will go as far as my passion, skills, and abilities will let me.  I have no expectations, which means I have no yard stick to measure myself by which can lead to disappointment, and despair.  I only have discipline, and percerverance because I know there are going to be hurdles to overcome. But the effort in the journey will be an experience as I will share in with what other music artists have created, will be rewarding in itself. The sky is the limit!!!

  • Here is another bit of advice I learned 5ilver..... it has taken me a long time to learn this lession but I never compare myself to anyone else. I run my own race at my pace and I keep my spirit free.  When I look at others, I look to learn and gain knowledge.  I don't look at what is on the other guys plate, because what is on his plate is their decision. The only thing I can do is enjoy and experience what he is potraying. And I say good for them and I am truely excited for them for what they have accomplish.  I don't for an instance envy them, because I know all of these negative feelings distract and eat away at my ability to reach my fullest potential.  Same with investing, if they make the money and I didn't, good for them.....there will be another boat alone shortly and my focus is on not missing it.
  • Have you ever noticed women in competition, when one girl wins all of the loosers rally around her and cheer her on and celebrate her accomplishment.  Guys for the most part don't do that because we are in competition with the world in everything....How Ironic!
