Looks like Over 5 million shares and 3.4M Deferred Share units (DSU's)

He could play this game (pay himself a salary, options and or DSU's, and a 5% dividend) for many more years - before deciding to promote, sell his shares at higher prices, and then retire in the carribean.  If he can't find a buyer for the shares, he could always liquidate and dividend the proceeds at roughly twice the value of the shares.

Maybe he hasn't finished with strategies that encourage the transferance of shares from the frustrated to the patient acquirers?

Maybe he'll be tempted to purchase a gently used Oligarch yacht at firesale prices before retirement day?
