Why is this a major surprise inflation will remain high for many months until they are no longer being compared to the year prior when nobody was driving because of pandemic and working from home and oil was at very low level as well as cheap gas and we surpass the housing blip of shelter prices skyrocketing due to people moving out of Toronto inflating the house prices in all major surrounding cities leading to people blind bidding like crazy sending housing prices through the roof. Once these normalize over time which they will inflation rates will return to more normal levels.
