O&G - as seen by the price of crude lately, is not something the world can just turn off today - we rely on it too much everwhere you look. Responsible (net-0) producers of O&G are becoming a thing however, which is great!
Moving forward, slower at first than most of us would like, the world will transition from combustion engines to electric. These things take time; time to build product availability, acceptable (affordable?) price points, consumer confidence.
Currently I see a slow reduction in oil paired with a slight uptick in electric. I think that slope will get steeper as we move 3 years out (portfolio rebalance already happening). 5 to 10 years from now? Electric will surpass and move quickly towards domination.
IVN is my 5-15 year play - and I feel good about it.
