Mitch McConnell is anti cannabis, not for the reasons he gives publicly but because he is heavily invested in alcohol.
Schumer won't do nothing because that would be political suicide. Politicians care about 2 things and 2 things only. Getting re-elected and Money. They don't give a shiit about the people, the environment, the war in Ukraine, crime......only re-election and money.
Schumer will die on this hill if he does nothing. That being said, his bill as it's being introduced has no shot of passing. His original bill will get watered down to either safe banking or states rights or a combination of the two. Any one of those would be a triggering event.
If you are not on Twitter following the conversation surrounding cannabis you are doing a disservice to yourself. Pressure is mounting on all politicians to support legislative change.

Like worst case scenario, doesn't include Safe, his bill is introduced to die immediately? Then a new Senate is formed. We are literally screwed. I read a tweet today from Tom Angell- McConnel is still for cannabis users to be punished and has no interest in Cannabis Reform.
