RE:RE:RE:Great close I think it will be a north american company if it is bought out. I dont think people realize just how special and unique this delvelopment is going to be.
the market for salt might not have as much flash or glitz as a nickle or a gold deposit. But what is does have is a market with a production deficit, a guaranteeded seasonal market for the product, no environmental or refining issues. Its a scoop it crush it and sell it. Its like scooping monet out of the ground.
the fact that there are over 10 million tons imported from overseas and that other existing mines are getting more expensive to operate and many are heading toward end of life gives this super low cost operation a fine advantage. They can sell near the cost of mining at godridge for example. Lowest cost wins in commodity sales. Forget the fact that the deposit is super clean and few imputities.
the existing companies would be fools not to see the risk of this development to theis business models. I know if i were stone canyon or compas for example I would see this development as a direct threat to my company and would want to not compete. There is why I think there will be a bidding war and super high prices to be offered
if atlas decides to go it themselves and develop we will simply have to wait a year or few to react very high prices. My point is unless that part on NL falls into the ocean holders of Atlas will make out like bandits. And that is not even touching the other assets that will be spun out
