RE:RE:Targets

RE:RE:TargetsAnyone that actually believes an analyst is a fool.A company called Sino Forest was hyped by no less than 28 analysts and was proven to be an outright fraud costing millions of shareholders all their money..I know...I had dabbled in that company and lost too.
Since then I 've watched these guys and their opinions and discovered most are just talking heads. Not all of them mind you,but most of them.
They ,as we are, are powerless when algorithms kick in.And in today's market trading the computers rule.Individual investors like us mean absolutely zero.
Think about it...when a company's stock drops as profoundly as teck has recently the analysts only talk AFTER IT DROPS.
Not one predicted it beforehand..on the contrary ,as little as a week ago many raised their targets. This should prove once and for all that listening to these people is a waste of time.
Long term targets are for fools to believe.
How can anybody be stupid enough to think anyone can predict what's to happen in a years time??...
To sum it up,we tend to agree with somebody's upward  target when we own the stock.
And promptly ignore someone's negative opinion when we own the same.
Human nature, but a bad way to invest in today's computer driven markets.
